Wow - the tirade to end all tirades. Wednesday, October 3rd, during his 97.5 Calvin Murphy show, this has been brother, went on a total tirade in regards to the Isiah Thomas - Anucha Browne Sanders trial.
Unfortunately the radio station did not provide a transcript or a podcast, but I heard the entire thing on the radio. He called the lady a cabbage head, said that her looks were not worth an $11 million verdict and that being called a "ho" or a "bitch" at work, did not make it sexual harassment.
--In the Knicks' universe, according to plaintiff's lawyers, Thomas could address Browne Sanders as "bitch" and "ho" and get away with it; star guard Stephon Marbury could bed an intern and still be coddled by Thomas; upper management could draw up rules against sexual harassment and fail to enforce them.--
He also said, to the dismay of his cohosts - "she should have left, she should have quit...., this was a frivolous lawsuit." Forget the fact that Thomas does not deny this behavior!
One statement that Calvin made really stood out for me. He noted that with the record of the Knicks, the spending of Thomas on bad talent, and this latest fiasco, "Isiah has to have pictures of somebody doing something..."
My question to Mr. Murphy, after his scandal filled years (see sexual abuse suit, father of 9 with 9)and this latest debacle is this:
Who do you have pictures of?
